David Lonsdale has successfully run international corporations and middle-market companies with entrepreneurial energy and vision. He became president and co-owner of Allegiance Capital in 2005 and, since that time, has helped the company achieve a growth rate of more than 50% per year.

Key achievements:

  • Managed transactions in both the corporate and mid-cap markets, facilitating acquisition and divestiture strategies on a global basis
  • Developed a track record of value-delivery, achieving double-digit growth for businesses in Europe and the United States despite “turn-around” scenarios and challenging economic environments
  • As a CEO, Mr. Lonsdale has built and sold three companies funded by venture capital

Mr. Lonsdale’s career spans both the corporate and entrepreneurial arenas. For 25 years, he has built successful companies in Europe and the United States and has become well-versed in overseeing the operational and transactional aspects of business. He has a passion for innovation. During the last decade, Mr. Lonsdale’s companies have:

  • Developed hardware and operating system technology for pen-tablet computing
  • Created Internet security solutions for business-to-business e-commerce
  • Developed fault-tolerant computing platforms for the telecommunications industry

Mr. Lonsdale successfully sold these companies for Xerox Ventures, Integrated Micro Products, and other organizations including private equity groups to corporations including Microsoft and Sun Microsystems.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Lonsdale held leadership positions in McDonnell Douglas, where he orchestrated the company’s European information technology strategy. Mr. Lonsdale later, as part of the senior management team for Dun & Bradstreet, managed A.C. Nielsen’s software and systems division and grew Logistics Data Systems from a distressed division into the market leader, quadrupling revenues to $40 million and increasing earnings by more than 800% in 4 years.

David has served on the boards of several companies, both private and public. He has earned bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and physics from The University of Leeds, and a master’s degree in business administration from Cornell University.
